Well it's been awhile since I found a recipe, made it, and actually reviewed it. So tonight was my night to whip something up in the kitchen. I found the recipe off of http://www.recipe.com/. The dish I decided to make was Beer Can Chicken (http://www.recipe.com/beer-can-chicken/) and Beer-Barrel Lima Beans (http://www.recipe.com/beer-barrel-lima-beans/). Obviously for the beer I used Miller High Life. Now I know that High Life wasn't the dark beer that was needed for the Lima beans but it worked anyways. Also I should say that I used a chicken rub from Mrs. Dash as the seasoning on the chicken. The chicken has a 10 minute prep time while the Lima beans required 25 minutes. Meanwhile the cooking time on the chicken was about 1 1/2 hours and the total cook time on the Lima beans was about 37 minutes. And the recipes fed 4 people. Both recipes were really good. I'm not a big Lima bean fan but I think that as long as I didn't cook them up to often I could tolerate them. The cooking time on the chicken was a little long for me, as far as dinner goes. I do feel that these recipes would be great for a tailgate party. The chicken could be cooked at a home part or in the parking lot tailgate, the Lima beans couldn't do the parking lot job. I would recommend these recipes to anyone and the best part they are washed down well with Miller High Life.
Enjoy.

Mmm...I love beer can chicken.
