As much as the whole Christmas season bothers me, I do appreciate what it stands for. Corporate greed has pushed the start of the holiday season from the week prior to Halloween all the way to the actual December 25Th date. You shouldn't have to cram as much sales into that time period just so you walk away and say "this has been a good year." The Christmas season shouldn't officially start till two weeks before the holiday. Of course this is just my opinion. Along with the holiday we now have Christmas parties to attend. Please don't drink and drive during this time. "The life you save could be mine." And it's not worth the costs that are associated with it. I bring this all up because during this hectic season I may not make mention of the holiday. I may not wish you all a Merry Christmas and I may not tell you to be careful out there on the roads. So now is my time to tell you this. And from my family to yours "Merry Christmas."

I think the season should start on Black Friday. I need those sales to afford all the things I have to buy.
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't mind the shopping on black Friday but no Christmas lights till 2 weeks before Christmas. The same goes with Christmas music, don't play till 2 weeks before Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI don't really like that black friday shopping its to many people and you can't get a chance to buy what you really want. I also realize mostly everything is gone in the stores. Conservely, Christmas is that time of year were eveyone get together with families and friends and discuss their plans for the upcoming year. I wish you and your famly a very Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteCome on! Christmas lights need to go up as soon as possible. Who wants to be outside throwing lights up when is it freezing out? My dad trys to do it as early as he can to avoid the miserable weather.
ReplyDeleteI've got no problem puttiing the lights up when the weather is good, but don't turn them on till after the first week in December/
